These potteries are produced by Zapotec women in the village of San Marcos Tlapazola, in Oaxaca, Mexico. The artisans build and polish a local red clay and paint the pieces with a red engobe by hand.
This piece is waterproof and resistant, as potteries were originally made to cook directly on the fire.
The bottle can be used in your space as a decorative piece or to pour water; turn the lid upside down and it becomes a water cup.
